Size Guide

Before You Order

Not every piece is sized the same way. A stitched three-piece has a size, a saree has a length, and unstitched fabric is sold by the yard. Find the kind of piece you are buying below.

Where a product page lists its own measurements, those are specific to that garment and take priority over this general guide. If a product does not list measurements, contact us before ordering and we will measure it for you.

Stitched garments — three-piece, gown, kurti, co-ord

These are bought by size. The product page shows only the sizes that piece is actually made in, and where a garment’s own measurements are listed, use those rather than the chart below.

Read this before you choose. The figures below are body measurements, not the finished garment — a stitched piece is cut with ease added on top. Where a product page prints its own measurements, use those instead. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one, or send us your measurements and we will tell you which to take.

All measurements in inches. Kameez and dress lengths are not fixed by size — they are set by the style, and each product page states its own.

How to measure yourself

Use a soft measuring tape and measure over light clothing, keeping the tape snug but not tight.

  • Bust — measure around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape level across your back.
  • Waist — measure around the narrowest part of your natural waistline.
  • Hip — measure around the fullest part of your hips, roughly 8 inches below your waist.
  • Shoulder — measure straight across your back from one shoulder edge to the other.
  • Length — for kameez or dresses, measure from the shoulder down to where you want the hem to fall.

How to measure a garment you already own

Lay a well-fitting piece flat on a table and measure bust, waist, and length directly across the fabric, then compare against the measurements listed on the product page.

Sarees

A saree has no size. It is a single length of cloth that drapes to fit, so there is nothing to choose on the product page beyond colour where a piece is offered in more than one.

  • Length — sarees are measured in gaj. The product page states the length of that particular saree where it is known.
  • Blouse piece — where one is included, it is listed under Included Pieces on the product page. A blouse piece is unstitched fabric and still needs to be tailored to you.
  • Petticoat — not included unless the product page says so.

Unstitched and semi-stitched

These are sold as fabric, not as a finished garment, so they have no size either. What matters is how much fabric each piece contains.

  • Unstitched — every piece comes as cloth. Kameez, salwar and dupatta are cut and stitched by your own tailor.
  • Semi-stitched — partly made up, with seams left for your tailor to take in or let out to your measurements.
  • What you receive — the product page lists the pieces included under Included Pieces. Where the yardage of each piece is known, it is stated there too.

Tailoring is not included in the price of an unstitched or semi-stitched piece.

Custom size — made to measure

Where a product page is marked Custom size, the piece is made to your measurements rather than to a standard size. Send these five when you order, in inches:

  1. Bust — around the fullest part, tape level across the back.
  2. Waist — around the narrowest part of your natural waistline.
  3. Hip — around the fullest part, roughly 8 inches below the waist.
  4. Shoulder — straight across the back, shoulder edge to shoulder edge.
  5. Length — from the shoulder down to where you want the hem to fall.

Send them on WhatsApp or by phone with your order number. We confirm every set of measurements with you before any cutting starts, so nothing is cut on a number we are unsure of.

A made-to-measure piece cannot be exchanged for fit, because it is cut to numbers you supply. Please measure twice, or ask us before ordering if you are unsure.

Free size

A piece marked Free size is made in one size only. There is nothing to choose, but the garment still has fixed measurements — ask us for them before ordering if fit matters to you, and we will send them.

Jewellery and accessories

Jewellery is not sized like clothing. Where a measurement matters — a bangle diameter, a necklace length, a bag’s dimensions — it is listed on the product page itself. If it is not listed and you need it, ask and we will measure the piece.

Still unsure?

Contact us with your measurements before ordering and we’ll do our best to help you choose.
